The technology is just a tool to be used for good or ill, but the people behind it are generally untrustworthy, and anyone who uses it without honest disclosure should not be trusted IMHO.
Yes. Although it is generally - I don't presume the local dog walking business isn't trustworthy because they use AI and don't disclose it, but if I had a dog and a choice between two, it'll be the one that didn't use AI. It's becoming a moral issue I think. I'm beginning to judge people's character by it now, especially that we should all know the pitfalls.
Imagine if the Aryan Nations or KKK complained they were being "cancelled" because no one wants to support actual racism
It's got so bizarre. The anti cancel argument just doesn't fly with me but jeez they can make some noise and create a narrative can't they??
But somehow I am an "antisemite" for opposing Israel's tyranny and belligerence despite many of my favorite intellectuals and entertainers being Jewish.
Again, like Netanyahu, it's just the same argument wearing different clothes. It's just a distraction.
I have to say though, liking comedians and entertainers is different in the same way Australians accept indigenous Australians only if they are good at sport or the Indian who owns the local corner store is lovely but the rest threaten to take over the nation. It's an exceptionalism I feel uncomfortable with. I don't really know many Jewish people personally but sure as hell if they support Netanyahus Israel they can fuck off.
