Yes, I need constant reminders of THIS reality - that things will work out fine, that I can grow my own tomatoes, and that working all my life for a shitty retirement ain't worth it - may as well enjoy it whilst I have it, and rejoice in my free time. Jamie gave me a stern talking to along these lines this morning. I think when I'm stuck in my own head and am home alone, I spiral. And a lot of it is to do with how I was raised and how everyone around me is busy working and saving for this mythical retirement - it's a full time pasttime RESISTING this version of life.
