What freaked me out is how much it can cost you for childbirth over there, especially if there's complications and bubs ends up in NICU. Here - nothing. Nada. Zip. I mean unless you wanna pay for comfort of private hospital or get a few extra scans or tests but even then it's only a few thousand at most. I don't have health insurance and won't ever..I believe in our socialist system. Plus if I'd saved everything I may have spent on private health I would have hundreds of thousands of dollars I could have paid for anything anyway.
