A few weeks ago I wrote a post about us deciding to NOT move to Tasmania, which I never published. There were a lot of reasons - family, plus the fact it's actually hard to find the perfect spot we both liked.
Then, we travelled up the East Coast and found a block of land we love in a coastal town we adore.
If you look beyond the van here you'll see the ocean. A lot of people come up here to see where the surf banks are, so the view is awesome.
But the land we like is kinda just over a small ridge, where a road is being built as part of this estate. The block we might put in an offer for doesn't have a view, but we don't really care for a view if the option is a bigger block of land. Besides, we can go sit on the beach anytime - it's only a kilometre away!
The land is 2800 m2 and a bush block. It faces north south so catches the sun all day.
I love the idea of being in walking distance to the beach. It's something that's missing from where we live now and I seriously doubt we could find an affordable block near the beach anywhere, especially in a place that also has mountain biking, fishing, hiking and all sorts of other adventure activities!
I'm a bit emotionally exhausted right now so I don't have it in me to give more details than this - I'm sure you'll read more in future posts!
We will talk to the town planner on Monday and ifthat sounds good we will put in an offer.
Exciting, and nerve-wracking, times!
