RE: Should Boy George Have been Pulled from Streaming Platforms?
Yeah .. very supportive of war basically. Given the atrocities still taking place and the history - a bit sickening. Top that with being written by AI and I'm bound to find it distasteful.

RE: Should Boy George Have been Pulled from Streaming Platforms?
It's a crazy, overheated world. People find conspiracies in the most benign things and big dramas are made of molehills. The cancel culture is bonkers - I mean how did we even come up with it? Still, I'm

I totally get that. But I don't get behind absolute freedom of speech when It promotes war and genocide. Sure, it might be slippery slope exceptionalism but I don't care. I can't think of any excuse to

I can definitely align with you there and I know it's a slippery slope, but it doesn't stop me feeling glee when they ARE cancelled. Absolute free speech doesn't gel with me when it perpetuates hate and

The technology is just a tool to be used for good or ill, but the people behind it are generally untrustworthy, and anyone who uses it without honest disclosure should not be trusted IMHO. Yes. Although

What an amazing thing to witness. Sad, of course, but that's nature. What majestic beasts.

RE: Midsummer Update From the Laughing Dragon Garden!
Your garden looks so gorgeous. A place I'd like to hang out. I'm definitely planting more flowers this year too! I've always relied on herbs and calendula but have my eye on some very dark scabiosa and

RE: Little Steps That Took Me to the Lovely Blooms: A Tiny Orange Fly with a Caterpillar and a Flower Bud that Looks Like a Cat Mouth
Music and gardening is totally a good match. Why not indeed. I've just read a heap of posts where dry is affecting the garden so it's nice to read one about the wet!

This year I think I'll just do cherry tomatoes as we are going away.

RE: Harvest time
I am a huge fan of eggplants. Apparently the modern varieties are less bitter so soaking water or salt isn't necessary and I certainly don't do that! The pears look INCREDIBLE.

I hear you on the fire fear. I struggle to breathe too when they do the burning off here. I'm so worried about this year's fire season and we will be away so must rely on the tennants to prep the house

My golden beets would match your thumbnail! Which is pretty btw. I love how you have an inherited love of growing food. I wish my son did.

I don't think your growing season would be look enough but this year it's been so hot I reckon you should have! Can't hurt. Plant a couple of bits in a pot and see how you go!!!

We are totally better. A typical four day cold. Haven't had one in years! Covid hell, yes. But flash in pan cold is a comparable doddle.
