It has been a long time since weekends have been so sacred for me, I can not dedicate them to the family, because right now I can only think of fighting for the dreams that remain in the inkwell, because I think, that's what life is all about, to live the dreams awake. Many have been the weekends that I have cooked with dawn thread from Saturday to Sunday, without time to sleep and many times not even to eat, but this time I want to tell you the experience of this weekend that has just passed, where the adventure was at the surface, the emotions charged and the songs simply bloomed.

Saturday began with the ecstatic hangover of the applause and singing of the concert from the early hours of Friday to Saturday in a spectacular place, here in the heart of Havana, in Vedado, in the Coco Blue and the zorra pelua, but well that story is for another day. Six o'clock on Saturday afternoon and we had an unmissable date with a young woman who was launching her first poetry book, Jesica Rivero, a young woman who wanted us to contribute with songs her evening with her family and her loved ones, the date took place at the Agora coffee books, a wonderful place overlooking the boardwalk, where books and coffee prevailed.

Between poetry and songs, poetry and more songs, almost two hours slipped away in the blink of an eye, accompanied by tears from friends and parents who know firsthand the sacrifice that is made today to carry out a job as finished as this. The thanks of the artist of the day were reiterated several times and for my part very well received.

We said goodbye without taking a picture and taking a copy autographed by the artist of the day. Of course, when we left there was always time for a photo of the Havana sunset on the Malecon, time to look into the distance and find a small boat venturing into the beyond, something that undoubtedly gives peace. A slushy accompanied us a good part of the way and a pizza was the only food we saw that night.

Sunday arrived with the longing that never leaves me to be at home, like every Sunday night we arrived at Idilio bar, a restaurant here in Vedado, right in Park G, where we make our art to foreigners mainly, Italians, Spaniards, Indians, Brazilians, Canadians, Americans who come to the place looking for Cuban music and where they prepare dishes that only with the smell makes you want to eat everything within sight. We finished singing around eleven o'clock at night and all we could think about was a bed and rest.

So I spend my weekend accompanied once again by the guitar, poetry, songs and everything nice that Havana is giving me, which each time becomes an adventure full of risks, stumbles and many gifts to decorate the past to which I will turn someday in search of a smile, but also that I still miss the family more than ever but with the strength to continue fighting for dreams.
