Visitors to Guoliang Village in China's Henan Province have to go through a terrifying journey one of them by passing through tunnels under the Taihang Mountains.One of the ten most dangerous roads in the world was built in the 1970s by the people of Guoliang who were looking for easier routes to the nearest towns, Huixian and Xinxiang .
Two other nearby villages, Xiyagou and Kunshan, have also dug tunnels to further connect themselves to the whole country
Xiyagou village finished them in 1991. The project started in 1962,when a local official was touched with a difficult and frightening journey and then donated 3,000 yuan to the village to build another, safer road .
