While trying to figure out what exactly I should post on here, it just so happened I was sitting right next to the vinyl collection that I've been building for over six years now. Although I've sold some to make room for new records, I've still got quite a good amount. This will be a semi-regular post in which I'll go through my collection alphabetically. 12" records first, then 10", then 7". I'm not a big fan of writing about my opinions on music, as all tastes are subjective, but if you'd like to start any conversations I'd be more than happy to talk.
My first record is "My Woman" by Angel Olsen (before you say anything, I go by an artist's first name when organizing). I've been listening to Angel Olsen for about 3 years now, but for whatever reason, this is the only record of her's that I own. It is, however, her best collection of songs to date. She jumps around a number on genres on this record, and it's amazing to watch her progression throughout her three albums, which are all worth a listen. Recommended songs on this record: Intern, Shut Up Kiss Me, Sister.
The simple album art on top of my always-dusty receiver.
The best shot of the record itself that would show off the purple color. The dust (seems to be a recurring theme) was not initially included.
Finally, no dust in this picture! Feel free to snag a download and check out the record. If you listen to it, let me know what you think! All opinions are welcome.
Thanks for reading my first of many posts about my vinyl collection, and make sure to follow if you want to keep up!
