After a few years of consistent poking and prodding, my great friend @jongolson has succeeded in inspiring me to join the blockchain community known as Hive. Originally from central Canada, I have now spent most of my adult life on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada; Vancouver and Vancouver Island--to be precise.
It is in my Being to live for adventure, explore, make memories, and meet amazing humans. For my entire life, I have been that guy with the camera in peoples faces attempting to capture the perfect moments--never wanting to miss a moment. Having said that, until recently, this has been nothing more than a casual hobby. The new life born on Hive is concurrently running alongside my new life in taking photography (as well as documentary film) far more seriously. It is a long road ahead.
Documenting the journey of my passions through this outlet, as well as my gradual understanding of the blockchain world, should be an adventure in itself that I am pleased to be embarking on.
My goals on this site are: to help build community, help build my craft, as well as be a contributing factor in other peoples growth in pursuing their own passions. Not to mention, get my feet wet in the ever-intriguing world of crytpo!
So this is my first post to say hello, drop a few photos of my city & welcome anybody to provide feedback or advice on the platform.

Above photo faces west, showing the view of Downtown Vancouver. Historic Gastown runs along the left side parallel with the train tracks. Harbour Centre Tower can be seen in the centre of the photo. The Pan Pacific Hotel/ Convention Centre/Port Of Vancouver and the Canadian World Trade Centre border the right side of the photo. Some may feel that cropping this photo to zoom into the skyline closer would be a better shot. The parking lot is not a desirable aspect of the photo. However, my favourite aspect of this photo is the transition from rugged railroad & heritage buildings progressing into to current day Vancouver. Much of Vancouver provides constant views of newer picture perfect buildings and terrain. This photo reminds me of where it started. This photo gives off an entirely different aspect than photos of the Vancouver skyline normally provide. The parking lot will just have to be put up with.

Above photo is taken standing on the docks of the Port Of Vancouver facing the Waterfront Station. Waterfront Station is a hub where the Skytrain, Seabus and Westcoast Express all link together to take you on different directions from the core of the city.

Above photo was taken at the same time as all of the other photos posted. Giving the photo a vintage look seemed appropriate in matching the composition itself. Out of the batch, this is one of my favourites as the truth of the photo would not have been possible without the editing process. To be honest, the photo still does not do the visuals justice of how unique this stretch of buildings appears in person.
