Soy una de tantos cubanos de a pie, con apagones, escasez y quebraderos de cabeza, pero, cubana al fin, también me río de lo malo. Solía trabajar como dependiente gastronómico en un hotel en Varadero, donde aprendí mucho sobre el trato al cliente y la importancia del inglés. Soy una entusiasta de los idiomas, me gustan mucho la gramática y la ortografía de nuestro idioma (aunque he perdido el filo) y soy una eterna amante de los animales.
Quiero poder compartir acá mi reciente admiración por el futbol, especialmente el futbol europeo. También quiero poder compartir opiniones sobre salud mental, inteligencia emocional y cuidado de mascotas. Son temas que me inspiran y me alegran el día.
He llegado acá en búsqueda de una comunidad más cálida y real, lejos de la agresividad a veces un tanto extrema de otras redes sociales, donde compartir contenido de valor y que les resulte un pequeño alivio de la intensidad del día a día.
Hello, Hive! My name is Daimarys, and I'd like to introduce myself to you.
I'm one of the thousands of everyday Cubans dealing with blackouts, scarcity, and a lot of stress and headaches, but since I'm Cuban, I usually end up laughing it all off. I used to work as a waitress at a hotel in Varadero, where I learned a lot about customer service and how important English is. I'm very enthusiastic about languages, I really enjoy Spanish grammar and spelling (although I'm not as sharp as I used to be), and I'm a huge animal lover.
I'd like to share my recently discovered love for football, especially European football. Also, I want to share opinions about mental health, emotional intelligence, and pet care. Those topics inspire me and make my day brighter.
I landed here looking for a warm and real community, away from the sometimes extreme aggressiveness of other social media networks—a place to share valuable content that becomes a small relief from the daily grind.
