It's the 80th aniversary of the World War 2 - Battle of Britain.. Nearly 3000 aircrew from 14 countries fought against Nazi Germanys air force - the Luftwaffe...

Nearly 4000 airframes destroyed, over 4000 Airmen killed, over 1000 injured. Civilian casualties were high, 14,000 killed and over 20,000 wounded..

The Royal Air Force have a display team based at RAF Coningsby dedicated to the Battle of Britain and they fly a Supermarine Spitfire (Including one that fought in the BOB), Hawker Hurrican's and what many would say the main attraction of the Avro Lancaster bomber.

The worlds only flying Lancasters fly over the Derwent dams, where they practised the famous Dambusters raid.
