"DAY 65
Started the day doing some watercolor and oil pastel works with the baby. She quickly got bored, (only completed three pieces,) but I was much more efficient and finished FOUR! (I win!!!) I also finished a new HIVE post today (utilizing the Peakd front end,) and then shared it on several other sites: Ello, Tumblr, and WordPress. This may seem like CHEATING, but I think of it as similar to syndication. Some folks don't look at Ello but they might have eyes on Tumblr. Some people might enjoy all four platforms, but with the thousands of posts that go out per second, who can guarantee that a potential viewer will be looking at the screen just as I post my piece but before the slush pile of OTHER posts by OTHER peeps buries mine 20,000 fathoms deep? So, I compile my materials for a few days from various posts, conglomerate them into a single piece and then smear them throughout the interwebs. It's worked so far! (Worked for what, I don't know...)

Watching a Discovery Channal show (with a wonderful "attacked by a pillow" scene), but it seems to be falling for the "if it ain't Christianity, it's probably Satanic" trope... What a ridiculous oversimplification... Still, I love this blatantly horseshit stuff! It amuses me to no end!!! Automatic writing, "spirit art," this show has it ALL!!!

Did I ruin it by including the triangles? (I don't mean aesthetically, cuz I like the color touches. I mean in regards to literary form.) Here's another really important question: DO I CARE? No. (That one is answerable.) I just made something, and in the moment I decided to have the skull say what it was saying with written words instead of a mouth. There might be some deep, psychological reason for WHY I made that choice, but the real reason is that I did it cuz I FELT LIKE IT, at the time. "DAY 67
Finished eating my dinner, put away the few leftovers, helped load the dishwashing unit, started it (the unit), and slunk back to my room. Still feeling chest-yucky today, but not as lethargic as yesterday. Lethargy's a bitch... (That latter statement is completely meaningless, in a syntactical sense, although it may have a bit of colloquial currency.) Now (7:17 P.M.), I'm sitting in the bed typing on a laptop to the quiet hum of the washingmachine churning away just outside my bedroom door.
These might not be interesting details to you, but for a person working thru a free-writing exercise, the important thing is for words to hit the page (or "screen" in this case.) The meaning OVERALL (ultimate meaning) is that I am writing. This is a FORCED WRITING PROJECT, afterall... I've done these sporadically over the years, but they usually don't last more than a few weeks. This one is different. It FEELS different... (Perhaps I'm an exhibitionist, and the other forced writing projects didn't have the "PUBLICATION" element that this one does. Who knows. I'm writing. Writing is good... Even if all I'm doing is blowing away the cobwebs...)
I have this image of "RICHARD THE WRITER" as a dusty, badly damaged, but one-time top-notch automaton that I bring out of the BRAIN ATTIC when I need to create meaning (or nonsense) with words... When I first turn the machine on, it coughs and shoots dust out of the exhaust port, and trieds to turn the gears and wheels and other fancy automaton gizmoids - kind of like an old Ford car. It will probably start, eventually, but it's going to let you know that it ain't happy about it!!! In order for the WRITER to get back to FULL STEAM, all the cobwebs and dust particles and dead bug bodies have to be ground up, lubricated, and smashed back into the system.
You know, "BLOW AWAY THE COBWEBS..."

Did I tell you folks that Mariah and I already have some "doing stuff" plans for the times-coming-up??? We have a GHOST CONVENTION in March (in Seaside, Oregon); and we have a Duran Duran concert in April (in Portland, Oregon); and we've decided to catch a play (in Ashland, Oregon) in July or August. I think we're going to visit our favorite local theme park, Enchanted Forest, (just south of Salem, Oregon...guess we do a lot of stuff in Oregon, even though we live in Washington!) sometime this spring. No solid date on that one, yet, though. If I'm still doing this writing project while these events are in session, I'll have to do my entries via phone, but I usually take a bunch of pictures and write a post about each "THING," when Mariah and I get up and go, so there's that to look forward to, as well.

10:29 A.M. - How can my ass already be tired? I just STARTED!
I feel the need to explain myself, and therefore.... I won't. Federal prison is not a vacation home. Donuts on the lawn. (How many things could that mean???) Dead Milkmen...
So much has happened since our last episode. My notebook has LINES now. It's so...restrictive. I either have to conform to the pre-set values, OR I have to make a special concerted effort to override the lines (pretend they aren't there - BUT THEY ARE THERE!!!) It's seriously affecting me. Not infecting. That's different.
Enjoying the beat-pulse. I like just sitting and listening to music. It's calming, even if the music isn't particularly calming. (My blood pressure isn't terrible right now, but my blood SUGAR is out of control. Why is my blood always trying to kill me???) (Okay... Maybe it's not the BLOOD as much as it is the milkshakes and soda pop and seven dollar coffees and candy and chocolate muffins and.... Perhaps I've made my point.) When you get old, you have to work on your diet. I used to eat little else but cereal, donuts, and chocolate milk. (Had no future consequences!) (Worth it. I love donuts. I used to love chocolate milk, until I decided that I could no longer support Nestle as a company. They lost MILLIONS in revenue when I stopped buying Quik.) Now, as in at the moment, I have a jug of WATER by my bedside instead of anything yummy.
Did I mention that I'm sitting in bed with a pair of old Skull Candy headphones over my ears, an ancient laptop on my lap, a heating pad on my back, and the blinds slanted so I can see the sunshine trying really hard to melt the little bit of snow that fell last night, despite the fact that the temp is still 32 degrees f (which is 0 degrees c.) ;alksdf j;aklsdjf ;aslkdfj ;as;dlkj
The noise. The news. The noose. Slipped and fell... Fell up. Fell up the stairs and landed at the top. The tippity top. Slipped. Noise. THE noise. The noise of falling...

Should I eat lunch? If I don't each lunch, now (12:03 P.M.), I probably won't eat until after 5:P.M. (If you saw my stomach, you might think I could miss a meal or two... Maybe you'd be right.) I have some chips (orange and triangular and pseudo-cheesy) that I could NIBBLE... Seems weird to eat chips without soda, but soda is OUT! (Doctor said so.) Shit. Dang. How come all of my favorite things are so deadly? Why can't brussel sprouts be poisonous and milkshakes be like the fountain of youth??? WHY? What kind of sick creator makes the world like THIS instead of THAT?? Is this proof that, if there is a GAWD, who could have made the universe any way they wanted to, that he/she/it/they chose to make MILKSHAKES evil and brussel sprouts good? Does that make any sense???
I don't want to hear about it. I'm just listening to tunes and writing, now that I've finished exploring a weird new space that I don't understand. (I can't even figure out how I'm supposed to move the screen up and down. Ha! Old people on computers....)
