Greetings hivers.
Sometimes I walk through the streets of Havana and forget where I am. There are places that look like they belong to a dystopian future, similar to Mad Max, with ruined buildings, cars rotting in the street, and children playing among the rubble. And suddenly, almost without transition, I step into a completely different scene, with picturesque figures, luxury cars, and people enjoying themselves as if nothing else existed.
Cuba is this contrasted, a mixture of dreams and nightmares that is difficult to explain. I hope my photos can make it easier to understand, because words are not enough.
Another day walking and trying to understand everything through my camera.

A veces recorro las calles de La Habana y olvido dónde estoy. Hay lugares que parecen sacados de un futuro distópico, similares a Mad Max, con edificios en ruinas, autos pudriéndose en la calle y niños jugando entre los escombros. Y de pronto, casi sin transición, salto a un escenario completamente diferente, con figuras pintorescas, autos lujosos y personas disfrutando como si no existiera nada más.
Cuba es así de contrastada, una mezcla de sueños y pesadillas difícil de explicar. Ojalá en mis fotos se pueda entender mejor, porque con palabras no puedo.
Otro día más caminando y tratando de entenderlo todo a través de mi cámara.
