隆As铆 que aqu铆 vamos amigo!.

I am going to divide this post in parts, since there are several sculptures, 18 to be exact, I will be showing them to you, writing a bit of their history and where they are located and of course my opinion and reaction when I see them. So here we go my friend!

Historia Del Parque | Park History

The Europa Park was inaugurated on September 3, 2010, by the Mayor of the City Pedro Roll谩n Ojeda. It served to recover one of the most degraded areas of Torrej贸n de Ardoz, since this space was used as a garbage dump. Europa Park has become the largest green area in the city with 236,809 square meters.
Of course it has also become one of the most touristic parks in the community of Madrid, is that this park is really beautiful full of magic and culture that take us to the place and the time of these cultural heritages.
In this park have been planted more than 5,000 trees, 100,000 shrubs and 80,000 seasonal flowers.
In the park we can find 18 replicas of European monuments and an original piece of the famous Berlin Wall as I mentioned before. This park also has lakes and piers, waterfalls, playgrounds and picnic areas.

Well, friends, having told the story a little bit, I want to confess that this park is half an hour by train from where I live, and when we had to take the bus we got lost, but fortunately we reached the park.

As it was already late we decided to eat at the restaurant, we chose the Menu of the day which had 3 dishes, the starter I ordered a Caesar salad, the main course, so to speak, I ordered grilled chicken with french fries and for dessert I ordered a tub of chocolate flavored ice cream with cream.
My friends ordered eggs with french fries as a starter, the next dish was grilled tenderloin steak and for dessert a chocolate cake.
All the food was very delicious and the service was superb, besides we sat on the terrace of the restaurant and the view was incredible from there we could see part of the park and the lake, it was a very nice moment indeed. So then we went to tour this beautiful park.

The Brandenburg Gate is the first sculpture we met in this park. It is located in Berlin and was made in the years 1788 and 1791, was one of the gates that allowed access through the old wall that surrounded Berlin until 1860. It was a kind of customs to collect taxes.
The gate was designed by Carl Gotthard Langhans, based on the Acropolis of ancient Greece, has 6 columns. The quadriga that crowns the door represents the Goddess Victory and is an element that was added in 1793.

The Brandenburg Gate was inaccessible when the Berlin Wall was built, in 1989 it regained its original prominence and became the symbol of the reunification of Germany.
Note: The Brandenburg Gate is located in Germany, in 2006 Berlin was elected "Creative City" by UNESCO.
This gate that has 5 entrances is really beautiful and with a lot of history as I could tell you, the sunset that was there made it more beautiful, I hope someday I can be in front of the original gate, breathe and feel that magnificent history.

Muro De Berl铆n | Berlin Wall

IMG_20220208_180343_1.jpg

It turns out that after World War II, Berlin was divided into two parts, the East part, governed by the USSR which became the capital of the Democratic Republic of Germany (GDR), while the West part was an area controlled by the USA, France and the United Kingdom, which caused tension between the two sides and the so-called Cold War. The GDR built the famous Berlin Wall in August 1961, making it impossible to pass from one side of the city to the other.
The Berlin Wall "fell" on the night of Thursday, November 9, 1989, and served to reunify Germany. The fall of the Wall became a symbol of freedom.
To see this small fragment of the wall is incredible, and to be able to have it so close, really the park was careful to have this part of the great wall of Berlin and to exhibit it so that tourists like me can observe it closer, and in this small piece you can appreciate an engraved plate of the time, although to be a little sincere I am very happy that this wall was destroyed, and that today it is a symbol of freedom; Freedom that we should have in all the countries of the world.

The theater built in Europa Park recreates the ones that existed in ancient Greece, these facilities were built to host tragic and comic representations that were celebrated during the numerous festivities of the Greek calendar.
Note: Greece is considered the cradle of European culture and civilization, it is also known for being the place where the Olympic Games were created.
This theater or as I prefer to call it square is very nice and according to the time I must confess that I felt part of those Greek movies where they recreate the wars with gladiators, or perhaps where they released lions or any kind of entertainment for the Kings or people who ruled in those times, since I was a child I saw such movies, but I never imagined being in one, even if it was only a replica, can you imagine how it was at the time? although in my opinion they were very cruel... being in a coliseum must have been loaded with many feelings and emotions.

Plaza Espa帽a | Plaza Espa帽a

IMG_20220208_180843.jpg

It is an architectural complex built around a large rectangular square of 1000 square meters, which represents the Plaza Mayor of any Spanish municipality, is surrounded by 3 buildings, the central part represents Madrid's Puerta del Sol and the Real Casa de Correos and in the back the main square of Madrid.
*Note: Spain is the fourth largest European country, it is divided into 17 communities, and two autonomous cities.
Since I arrived in Spain I have come across many of these squares and they are very nice and charming, it is part of the culture in each of these squares you will find old people, young people, children, people walking their pets as I said they are very nice and you can sit quietly and the day will fly by.

La Sirenita | The Little Mermaid

Curioso 驴no?

The little mermaid is located in the harbor bay of Copenhagen, measures 1.65 meters, weighs 175 kilos and is made of cast bronze, the little mermaid is a tribute to the homonymous tale written by Hans Christian Andersen and represents its protagonist. This replica is created in the park on a real scale.
Note: Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark.
This sculpture really surprised me and even made me remember my childhood time where I loved to watch the movie of the little mermaid haha, but researching a little of this life-size replica, the story goes that it was located in a port and that fishermen and captains of ships went to the site where this statue was located and there they unburdened their conscience due to their infidelities, to feel better. Curious, isn't it?
