Im sorry, i lied about more positive posts (my prints are going well though), we now have nightly curfews in germany.
The foundation if this is, primarily, §28 Infektionsschutzgesetz which since i believe late november contains this nice little sentence: "Die Grundrechte der körperlichen Unversehrtheit (Artikel 2 Absatz 2 Satz 1 des Grundgesetzes), der Freiheit der Person (Artikel 2 Absatz 2 Satz 2 des Grundgesetzes), der Versammlungsfreiheit (Artikel 8 des Grundgesetzes), der Freizügigkeit (Artikel 11 Absatz 1 des Grundgesetzes) und der Unverletzlichkeit der Wohnung (Artikel 13 Absatz 1 des Grundgesetzes) werden insoweit eingeschränkt."
Translating roughly to "The fundamental rights to bodily integrity, freedom of the person, right of assembly, free movement and inviobility of the home are limited accordingly." The inviobility of the home is why police needs warrants, they dont now if its related to pandemics.
Now what is the actual factual basis for curfews at night? Was a big portion of people jogging over the graveyard at 2 AM infecting themselves alone as it would allready be illegal to meet other people? No, the justification for this primarily seems to be that it makes it easier to enforce the existing rules. Infringing on those fundamental rights purely to be able to enforce existing infringements.
Not gonna lie, thats kinda scary. None of it affected me much in my day to day life aside the masks i guess but i dont like where this is going.
I will probably be fine. Im about as prepared as a relativly poor guy in germany can be. And better than id expect 95% of people to be.
