Embedding of videos into Hive's front ends has nothing to do with the core blockchain or BT. Support for external video embeds lies with the various developers of the front ends, so you can talk to them

If you paste links from youtube (at least) without inserting them specifically as a RUL then the video will embed into hive posts and be viewable inside of Hive, instead of directing people away from Hive.

Yes, that is a different scenario. The problem that needs to be addressed affects posts that have had 1000 or more votes.

that seems to be part of the issue.. the uis provide no feedback on this cap and display the votes differently to each other. i updated the original post.
