This Ukrainian folk song is from the westernmost Carpathian region and is originally created by the Lemko people whose home region extends to Slovakia and Poland as well.
It's a lamentation of a young man who knows he's going to die in the battlefield far from home. The chanting is heavily influenced by Eastern Orthodox Christian church choir music.
