A human being without Christ may seem alive but in reality he is dead.
A human being without Christ can appear joy but it is something momentary; When he loses what his "happiness" depends on (money, position, status, work, a loved one, etc.) the true nakedness in which his soul is found is revealed.
A human being without Christ can look prosperous; nevertheless, his riches are purely superficial, none of them can give him what only God through his Son can give us.
A human being without Christ can consider being in blessing; unfortunately there is no worse deception than the satisfaction that comes from giving the meat what it desires.
A human being without Christ can say that he is a child of God, but how he walks and lives in this world makes him look like another orphan.
A human being without Christ can shout to the four winds the love he says he has for God; however, the way he lives really shows how much he hates him.
A human being without Christ can do various works that are called "good", what happens is that none of them will be nice enough before God because they were not made to glorify his Holy Name.
A human being without Christ can live convinced that he is in the hands of God, when the truth is that his sin sets him aside each day more and more of his glorious presence.
A human being without Christ can believe that he is steadfast in the ways of the Lord, but at the same time his confidence becomes a mortal trap that leads him little by little to destruction.
A human being without Christ can know that He died on a cross and that He rose again on the third day; however, he has never experienced the supernatural of these wonderful works.
"God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not be lost, but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save him through him. He who believes in the Son of God will not be condemned. But he who does not believe has already been condemned for not having believed in the only Son of God. The people of the world will be judged because with their evil actions they did not want the light that came to the world, but they preferred the darkness. Everyone who hates the light does not approach it because the light shows everything bad that has done. But he who practices the truth approaches the light to show that his deeds were done by God's work. " John 3: 16-21 (Word of God for All).
"My children, I am writing this so that you do not sin. But if anyone sins, we have a defender before God: Jesus Christ, the Just One. He sacrificed his life to take away our sins and not only ours but those of the whole world. We can be sure that we know God if we do what He commands us. Someone can say, "I know God," but if he does not obey his commandments he is a liar and the truth is not in his life. For love reaches its perfection when one obeys what God teaches. The proof that we walk well with God is this: he who says he abides in God must live as Jesus did. "
1 John 2: 1-6 (PDT).
Heavenly Father, allow us to genuinely experience your Son, Jesus Christ, for your glory, amen!
