You Know buying vegetables from the market or super market will waste your money. that's what my mother did before so now that i understand/ how to plant it properly.i would like to share my idea to you guys of how to plant this kind of vegetable.
According from the web Okra plant comes from West Africa.The Egyptians and Moors of the 12th and 13th centuries used the Arabic word for the plant, bamya, suggesting it had come into Egypt from Arabia, but earlier it was probably taken from Ethiopia to Arabia.
Okra has a seed right?, you can find their seeds from the forest or from the same plant that grows old. you can pick it and plant it on your Garden/Backyard.
On my own experience Okra will grow unto 3 to 4 weeks. but it won't grow fast if your garden is not well protected.
You must make sure that the covering is 2 to 3 feet tall so that the plants have room to grow.
If you do not start your okra plants early, wait until there is a stable warm weather so it will grow fast. You can plant okra in the garden when the soil warmed to 60° to 70° F.
Okra plants are tall it can probably reach to 3 to 4 feet tall so make sure that you are planting on a well placed. 3 to 4 weeks the plant will grow as you can see. it gives you happiness as you suffer to plant it properly. when it will grow old you can harvest a lot and make it food for dinner/ for break fast.
If you want to plant another plant of an Okra Don't get at least one bunch of it so you can grow a lots on you backyard.
