A lot going on in Steem. It sometimes feels really obvious thinking why I'm still here? I can talk about the bear market, low level of engagement, the current drama of Tron and many more as a demotivating factor. But there is still some motivation left to keep me going, for sure.

I joined Steem in November 2018. I would say Steem is more or less the same to me as it is then. The same bearish market and an unstable community. I would be surprised and overwhelmed or probably leave if the same thing happens in any other platform. But in Steem, I stay, I'm doing the same thing as before and I will do.

So, what makes me feel this way? What gives me the motivation to keep posting, curating, interacting with and or helping grow the Steem community?

You can say me opportunists or very optimistic, whatever you think fit best but Steem is a place for me to share my life, thoughts, and experience. Steem makes a content creator, a vlogger, a curator, and a content consumer. And there's no room to deny the financial benefits of Steeming. What I'm doing here in Steem and what value Steem is adding in my life would never happen if I didn't join Steem. And now, if I choose to leave Steem, I will obviously miss all of this.

Am I riding or dying for Steem, if so, why?

From last one year and three months, what I learned from Steem, what Steem helped me achieved is enormous. I meet so many people with so different thoughts and points of view, it expands my way of thinking too. I connect with so many great communities and learn so different things, it expands my knowledge. The amount of time I spend on consuming content is enormous. For me, there's no financial loss in Steem. I'm just a regular common content creator, who doesn't invest much. So, Steem helps me to keep riding!

Now, the question is What made you keep going here on Steem?

Steem is a place where I can share my thoughts, engage with the world and side by side earn some money no matter how little that it. If I leave Steem, there will be no such place where can I do so. There's no other alternative to Steem. And, there's no way for me to leave what I'm doing currently on Steem. This is the biggest personal motivation.

But besides that, the people, the community and the rewards everything made a positive impact in my life. Most importantly I became a content creator which I may never give a try. I get the opportunity to curate for different communities to help- support others to grow as well. This little thing adds great value to my life.

Steem became a part of my life. The amount of time I spend every single day creating content, consuming content, engaging and curating became a routine work for me. I do love this and no matter who takes over Steem, no matter what changes happen to Steem, I will find a way to survive here and will keep Steeming!

Thanks to the initiative of @theycallmedan to give us a chance to share our story and make it clear to thyself also, what motivates us to be on Steem. It's always necessary to know about our journey to keep it more exciting.
