2021 was not the best year for me just like million others. I had gone through a lot personally for my physical and mental health. It almost felt like I would never recover and my life would be a continuous misery.
But see, at the end of the year when I'm looking back; it feels like things could be a lot worse.
What I'm grateful for?
Because I'm breathing, I'm still alive, I fought with COVID and won the race.
I'm grateful to my family, I love and support I get, the generosity they showed me throughout my struggle.
I feel blessed that my mom recovered from a major operation and is in a good health now.
I'm grateful for my son, he is growing so we'll, he learned so many things, gave the joy of parenting to us.
I feel blessed to have a supporting and loving partner, my husband by my side.
I'm grateful that I made it till the end of the year.
There are so many small things that I can include in this list.
I always say life is not easy for any of us. It may seem like others' journey is smooth from your angle. But believe me, we all have different kinds of struggles. Your physical struggle may sometimes cross others' mental breakdowns. I see life from this perspective. And that's why I taught myself to respect every person's blood, sweat, and tears behind in life.
I'm appreciating my life because whatever I have achieved as well as whatever I didn't achieve Maybe they are waiting for me or maybe there's no good in them. I'm accepting but not ignoring, I'm not regretting but appreciating.
Maybe the year is not ending well, there were so many things I could do, so many things I didn't achieve, I'm not the person I wanted to see myself. But nothing could let me down.
I'm welcoming this new year with a wish that 2022 will be better for us. But do you know what I want more than this? I want to make myself more courageous so I can stand still, fight and survive no matter what happens.
I wish all the best ahead and a Happy New Year to all of you.
