Hello there!

Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries, such as Japan (Tokyo, Osaka and Hokkaido), Maldives, Indonesia (Bali and Yogyakarta), I was going through my past travels to see which would be the next interesting country or city to share, and I finally shortlisted New York, USA!

As you would have known from my past posts, my first trip to USA was a work trip to New York. Because I only had two days for sightseeing, I wrote about how I had to speed run through some of the major attractions in New York. You can read all about them here:

Several years later, I actually managed to visit USA again, and this time, it was for a holiday to the West Coast of USA and because the trip spanned across two weeks, there's definitely lots to unpack and share so sit back, and enjoy the sharings! You can read the earlier posts over here:

For the last major attraction in Los Angeles, we visited Universal Studios Hollywood! It's amazing that this city has two major theme parks and it definitely makes for a great place for families to visit too.

Moving on from Hogwarts, we went to the highly recommended Studio Tour! Basically we sat in a tram and travelled to different filming sets, and we got to see different "streets" and "sets" in various movies. There was also fake sharks and zombies in an abandoned "train station". We also experienced simulations and saw dinosaurs too! It was really an eye opener how movies were made and so much effort go into the preparation of the props and surroundings.

This was the aerial view of the grounds of the studio tour! It was very big and that's why they needed a tram to transport us.

Back to touring different areas of the theme park, it's nice to see buildings of different themes to suit all the movies under the Universal Studios family.

Within the theme park, there were many characters for visitors to take photos with too!

Jurassic Park!

There was a dinosaur that roared very loudly at regular intervals too!

Transformers! I wasn't a fan so I had no idea what these different transformers are called, but they came out at different timings and we actually sort of waited for the respective timings to get the different photos!

Mummy! The creature was kinda scary but I quickly took the photo and scrambled off! LOL!

This was one of the crowd's favourite I must say! There were so many people in there, buying merchandise and taking the kiddy rides.

And then we had a life sized one to take photos with visitors!

More stuff within the area. As you can see, it was really crowded!

This was a haunted house but my friend and I didn't dare to go in. How nice of them to label it as "A Walk Through Attraction". Hahaha.

Finally, we made it to the animal show as well. Having walked the entire day, it was also nice to get some rest and chill. Animal shows are always enjoyable to watch, and it's very admirable to see how much training that went on behind the scenes from the trainers and the animals to produce such a perfect performance.

After a long day, we bade farewell to Universal Studios Hollywood! It was such an enjoyable day to see many different aspects of film making and watch the movie characters "come to life". Kudos to everyone who are in the entertainment industry for churning out so much brilliant stuff for the viewers and fans year in year out! If you are in Los Angeles, I would highly recommend a visit to Universal Studios Hollywood!
