After playing Splinterlands for 4 months, I recently joined a new guild called BGN (Blockchain Games Network) and participated in a brawl for the first time! In this post, I will be sharing my experience and the results of my 5 battles!
Fray Choice: I chose a beginners' type of fray because I don't have many cards yet, and also because this was my first brawl.
Battle #1: Even though Serpentine Spy was killed by Thorns, Living Lava outfought Cursed Windeku even with Thorns! Close win for me! Good start!
Battle #2: Interesting lineup as both summoners cancelled out each other. In the end, it was down to both Djinn Oshannus firing at each other and I won the battle after 13 rounds! The positioning of Djinn Oshannus made the difference here. So that's 2 out of 2 wins!
Battle #3: In an Earthquake battle, Brighton Bloom provided a huge advantage with Flying ability and it was an easy win for me. 3 wins!
Battle #4: Am surprised that my opponent did not bring River Nymph for a Poison battle. Relatively easy win for me! So that's 4 wins!
Battle #5: A costly miss by my opponent's Serpent of Eld in the first round proved critical and it was smooth for me all the way. So kudos to Creeping Ooze for that -1 Speed modifier. With that, it's 100% wins for me!
Final Results
With that, I managed to top my guild rankings with 15 points from 5 wins. Unfortunately, our guild only managed to finish 6th with 63 points from 21 wins and 39 losses. As for rewards, we received 231 Merits!
Overall, it was a fun experience for me and I realised I have missed out on this aspect of the game all this while! Hopefully I can slowly improve my card deck and challenge the more difficult frays in time to come!
Finally, I just want to express my thanks to BGN for welcoming me into the guild despite having limited experience with this game.
