I have been eyeing to do some shopping for one of the tokens of Splinterlands. This time I wanted to get some SPS. I wanted to go with the usual plan of converting my HBD to HIVE and just buy it from the market (aka HIVE-Engine). But upon thinking of a little different I wanted to go with a different approach. Why not use few other ways of obtaining my SPS, while using some of the other traditional features of HIVE Blockchain.

Some easy steps which can easily be taken under consideration under consideration for completing this process:

Convert HBD to HIVE via Hivedex.io
Convert HIVE to Swap.Hive via Uswap
Thus Swap.Hive to SPS

Since I am swapping HBD, it would have a nice move to swap them when the price of HIVE was below 20 cents. I guess, I should not have procrastinated. Or else I would have got some extra HIVE for this transaction. Even though, the amount is small but I suppose each and every HIVE matters. That being said, I was able to convert 13 HBD to HIVE and I was able to get 56 HIVE for the time being. Upon gathering my remaining HIVE, I converted a total of 60.985 hive to Swap. HIVE. Here I was able to get some additional Swap.Hive due to the bonus fact and I received 61.119 Swap.hive, all thanks to Uswap.

Time to SWAP. This is where I thought of using MARKET DCA of Dswap.trade. I executed the order of 30 Swap.hive at an interval of each hour and it will execute 5 orders for me. In basic terms, there will be five orders which will execute at an hour interval for my SPS buy order. Whle writing this post I have no idea how many SPS will I get once all the 5 transactions are done in the market. I hope I will get some decent amount as the price has not been moving that much for SPS but since the price of HIVE is going through a volatility I might end up having some more SPS during the last 1 or two orders.

Buying from the market in an instant. This is where you get to punish yourself. Since you are going to buy your favorite tokens from the market instantly from the market, you get a satisfaction in your mind regarding that you probably got a decent price for your token. Until and unless the price plays tom and jerry situation with you. If Tom gets a better hand and jerry losses you have that regret of wasting an opportunity to get the upper hand and the vice versa situation. But in DCA situation at least you can have that satisfaction of buying and doing DCA at some interval.

This time I tried them both and I want to see which process would end up giving me some additional SPS or I might end up loosing some SPS while undergoing the Dswap process, during this whole time. So instead of making a mess let me wait and see what will actually happen once the trades goes through and I will probably end up sharing the outcome in some other post.

The scenario at the moment is this, I used the instant swap option via Tribaldex and got myself 914 SPS for swapping 30 Swap.Hive. While I am waiting to see how many SPS will I get for my other 30 Swap.hive via Dswap.trade. Will keep you posted!
