Hey!

I'm Hiving today to spread more light.

So here I go! This one's for you.

Whether it's stress, whether we want things to be different, whether we don't want to lose something we have, whether we want to look our way, whether we want to feel somehow, or whether we don't want to grow old, … Constantly, there is something we would like differently.

Better, more, different, more intense ... more...

And even if some of these things happen only at the subconscious level, they produce tension, dissatisfaction, a constant uneasiness inside us.

But from time to time, for some more often than for others, things bother us, annoy us, irritate us, above that superficial level.

The tension begins to be felt at a medium level, or even intense. Thoughts appear, emotions appear, and the body also begins to tense - ready to fight, or run away.

I think that no matter how much our lives have saved us so far, each of us has lived this experience, at least a few times, right ?!

What are you doing in those moments?

Here things can be very simple and divided into 2 categories:

A) You react
B) You answer with your means of defense

Option A - you don't even blink and react. You are not aware of your feelings, you do not know what emotions are inciting you, or that adrenaline, noradrenaline, and cortisol have flooded your body - you may not even feel it, because thoughts and anger, agitation have flooded your entire experience.

Mechanics of Option A:

↪️Here you may say or do things you would not do if you were in control, not anger.
↪️Here maybe after the storm ends, you feel really good, you feel like you've ↪️unloaded.
↪️Here may be a time when you allow yourself to be out of control, a time when you snort and feel alive.
↪️You may have been here for years, this being your most handy behavior, or maybe even the only one you know.

Option B - Your buttons are pressed and you realize this. You feel your pulse increase, you feel that the rhythm of your breathing has changed. You hear the lines quickly chaining in your mind. You may feel the cloud of rage and agitation begin to thunder over your head.

BUT there is a moment of balance. You know that this complex of feelings is what makes you alive. You allow yourself to feel them and...

Simple dynamics of change: 💪

👉 You may choose to breathe a few times before letting go of wolves.
👉 Maybe you can choose to stay in this state without bursting, or leaving.
👉 Maybe you want to choose your answer in an assumed way, if you think it is opportune to say/do something now.
👉 Maybe there are other perspectives than yours, and this moment took you out of your rhythm (might even change or dare your personal system of beliefs and values) and prepared you to be able to see things with different eyes.
👉 Probably life experience has taught you so far that it is not an option to be reactive all the time. It is simply destructive for both you and those around you.

🚩 Maybe a little more unhappy, but still destructive, is the option in which you shut up, swallow and try to ignore everything. We all know that sooner or later you will "explode".

Contemplative practices teach us the third option. That is to TRANSFORM these experiences. This process can be totally counterintuitive, but it is the most efficient. And it can be learned.

🙋 You are aware of what is happening.
🙏 You notice thoughts, sensations, emotions, BUT
don't let yourself be consumed by them.
👀Actions, behavior, and words are not driven by these states.
💡 You provide space for them to exist (they are already there anyway), and then you choose your answer

Emotional self-regulation is very much about our resilience. As you may know, resilience is the ability to quickly return to a point of balance, stability, after a difficult or stressful time.

Another aspect of our human nature is that deep inside us, we all know that we can live fully, that we can feel, that we can connect with the world and with life, in a deeper way, that fulfills us.

Surely you lived like moments that filled your heart and fed you with confidence and joy. ❤️

We all want them, we long for such moments, but the problem is that we do not know how to access them intentionally. And so some become content with less and less.

Well, Mindfulness is a solution through which people, over thousands of years, have managed to live more fulfilled, more assumed, happier lives.
I have done a course from Palouse on Mindfulness and stress which helped me so much in the past. I am now practicing Mindfulness on a daily basis.

If you continue to do the same things and hope for another result, in a better life, you are deceiving yourself.

And you don't need a very enlightened mind to tell you that if you really want to change something you need a system. A good system.

It feels good to me to practice Buddhism, gratitude, savoring, appreciation along with energy healing, guided meditations, NLP, essential oils, grounding, deep-diving for alkalinization of the body, sun exposure, and more.

You will find what works for you. I am sure!

Whatever you feel that system is feel free to start making healthy changes for your life.

Just out of curiosity: Has anyone tried Holographic Therapy yet?
