No Accident. Not Random. Sorry!

Overwhelm is NOT random.

The people who get overwhelmed, KEEP getting overwhelmed.

The people who DON'T get overwhelmed, keep NOT getting overwhelmed.

It’s a pattern.

A habitual way of thinking and expecting creates a PATTERN in how you decide and behave.

THAT Pattern leads you routinely back into overwhelm: which we’ve agreed is the failure to make a series of decisions that all stack up.

Myth Busters: Overwhelm Is NOT Random

Overwhelm: Why You Keep Doing It

So why does it matter that your overwhelm is NOT random?

It tells you the SOURCE of it!

It means that you are stuck in a pattern that is subconscious (aka you don't notice it and think that it’s being “done to you“ instead of you “picking it“).

And because you think someone is INFLICTING overwhelm on you (victim), you never address the REAL root cause of your overwhelm...which is you!

Random things aren’t stable or predictable. And your overwhelm is both.

It’s predictable that you get overwhelmed at holidays like Christmas when all of your family’s needs and conflicts pile up.

👉 And once you GET overwhelmed, the crappy, fractured way you feel remains stable. That means joy can't accidentally poke through and you stop noticing good things (think Grinch whose heart was 3 sizes too small).

Once you descend into your abyss of overwhelm, you stay very reliably stuck there.

Usually, you’re waiting for an offer of rescue (that’s not coming) or the "unavoidable" meltdown (that forces some of the external demands to bend).

Stop pretending that your overwhelm is random and comes from people outside of you, screwing with you and your schedule.

Take five minutes right now and decide that your overwhelm is a PATTERN that belongs to YOU.

This is a big step.
It is the first real step toward overwhelming responsibility for you.

Take that step RIGHT NOW.
I’m here. I’ve got you.

NEXT:

Just imagine, you can optimize your mental and physical performance.

How would it feel to “hack” your health and fitness, so every cell in your body works the best way possible?

Or what would happen if you could extend your life with some biohacks?

But what exactly is Biohacking?

Biohacking is a growing movement in which people study biology and life science.

It is the process of achieving optimal functionality of your mind and body by using science, biology, and self-experimentation.

Let me ask you these Qs before I give you access to a very useful bulk of resources for yourself:

  • Are you looking for the tools to optimize your day so you have the energy for both work and play?

  • Do you want to build brainpower to conquer your most important goals?

  • Do you know how to reconnect with nature and optimize your living and working environment to support your biological and psychological wellbeing?

  • Are you dreaming of upgrading your sleep so you can really rest and recover?

  • Are you already an avid biohacker or fitness enthusiast and know it’s time to discover next-level hacks and find like-minded people?

Spring is coming and this time involves all kinds of invigoration, self-renewal, and the introduction of new light and energy. AND I am regenerette@regenerette, a person that wishes to help other regenerate their life.

Therefore, I am just going to leave some resources here for you to access anytime and will come back with future posts and resources for your brain, health, and #meantalhealawareness.

• Teemu Arina, Olli Sovijärvi & Jaakko Halmetoja: Biohacking STRESS for Longevity & Health [Biohacker Summit 2017 recording]
• The Sports Performance Show S4: E8 Dr. Olli Sovijarvi (Biohacking Masterclass) [recent podcast episode on exercise and recovery]
• 7 Foods That Support Hormonal Health [an article on Biohacker Center news site]

***In Joy,

regenerette@regenerette***

P.S I dare you to look back over the past year or two and chart the times that you felt overwhelmed.

You will see a pattern. You will notice the external triggers you use to start avoiding making important decisions.
It’s OK to admit that this is OUR pattern. It's not shameful. The first step to breaking any pattern is spotting and owning it. :-)
