¡Llegamos al viernes nuevamente! Esta semana se fue volando, ¿no les parece? Ya no veo la diferencia entre un día y otro. Parece que medio pestañeo en la mañana y ya es mediodía. Y no hablemos sobre el hecho que ya estamos en la recta final del año. Es realmente asombroso.
Y como es viernes, me tocó trabajar algo diferente a las temáticas que suelo dibujar.
Trabajé la ilustración de una sexy dragoncita doctora. Tenía tiempo sin dibujar dragones antropomórficos así que fue un buen ejercicio. Sobre todo para practicar la estructura del cráneo y el hocico.
Me gusta este personaje. Luce sexy con un toque de elegancia y ternura. Traté de captar eso en la ilustración.
Moldear el busto con sombras suaves me llevó algo de tiempo ya que estoy probando otras formas de combinar colores para lograr las sombras. Mezclé lápices acuarelables con el aerógrafo para darle suavidad y brillo a la piel.
No tengo inconvenientes en dibujar algunos desnudos artísticos ya que eso me ayuda a trabajar la anatomía. Admiro mucho el manejo de la anatomía en esculturas griegas y renacentistas al igual que en las pinturas de esa época. El uso de sólo algunas telas para cubrir ciertas partes del cuerpo dejaba ver lo bien que manejaban el movimiento y la caída en las telas y cómo se amoldaban a la figura. Y aunque el manga es un estilo de dibujo bastante simplificado, el manejo de la anatomía debe ser algo que se tome en cuenta no sólo por razones estéticas sino para que el lector pueda sentirse identificado con los personajes, aunque sean personajes de fantasía.
Les comparto el procedimiento con la correspondiente censura por respeto a mis seguidores que no estén familiarizados o no les guste el desnudo artístico.

It's Friday again! This week flew by, don't you think? I don't see the difference between one day and the next anymore. It seems like half a blink in the morning and it's already noon. And let's not talk about the fact that we are already in the home stretch of the year. It's really amazing.
And since it's Friday, I got to work on something different from the themes I usually draw.
I worked on the illustration of a sexy little doctor dragon. I hadn't drawn anthropomorphic dragons in a while so it was a good exercise. Especially to practice the structure of the skull and snout.
I like this character. She looks sexy with a touch of elegance and tenderness. I tried to capture that in the illustration.
Molding the bust with soft shadows took me some time as I am trying other ways of combining colors to achieve the shadows. I mixed watercolor pencils with the airbrush to give the skin softness and sheen.
I don't mind drawing some artistic nudes as it helps me work on the anatomy. I admire very much the handling of the anatomy in Greek and Renaissance sculptures as well as in the paintings of that time. The use of only a few fabrics to cover certain parts of the body showed how well they handled movement and drape in the fabrics and how they molded to the figure. And although manga is a rather simplified drawing style, the handling of the anatomy should be something that must be keeping in mind not only for aesthetic reasons but also so that the reader can identify with the characters, even if they are fantasy characters.
I share the procedure with the corresponding censorship out of respect for my followers who are not familiar with or do not like artistic nudity.
