My #sublimesunday initialed by 
A red gravel road leading to the village. Although the road was loose gravel, it was packed hard and smooth for driving on.
Passed this Agricultural Museum on the road towards the historic house.
Old buildings that are part of the museum. There was a group of people checking out these barns but I was interested in continuing on the red gravel road to check out the historic house.
In the pasture beside the museum was this pony with a beautiful long mane.
I whistled and hollered but the little pony would not lift his head for a drive-by photo.

And who Is Sir Andrew MacPhail?
”He was knighted for his services with the Canadian Medical Corps in WW1.”
This plaque on the grounds tells more of his story.
The first vision of the historic house with the white fence along the driveway.
It is nestled in a quiet isolated location surrounded by the natural beauty of wild nature.
This historic house is where Sir Andrew MacPhail was born in 1864.
In the summertime the glassed-in veranda is opened to the public as a tea room.
Many of the old trees surrounding the property have been cut down. One large stump is visible in this photo.

While I was looking at the playhouse, two dogs came out of a trail behind the house, walking their master. 😊

While walking around the grounds, I saw this red headed woodpecker in the tree.
Large trees in the yard and an old bell.
A bench to rest your weary bones after walking around the property.
On my way back to the car I passed some tiny blue flowers and pretty yellow daffodils.
In another month, the grounds wil be busy with tourists. I plan to go back in the summer and have a cuppa tea sitting in the veranda.
