standing in front of the Children's Museum in downtown Boston i took this shot facing a building with a glass facade on Congress street. The Fort Point Channel is a famous historic location in town with the Children's Museum one one side and the Boston Tea Party ship and museum across from it. one of the most distinct landmarks is the Hood dairy milk bottle. while the various panes of glass reflect different more or less distorted scenes, the 40 feet tall milk bottle with the red oval and backwards Hood emblem stands out. it was originally a roadside dairy stand in the town of Taunton, featuring ice cream, milk shakes- or as we call them in Boston- frappes and such. the stand eventually closed down and was left to the elements for some years before it was bought, restored and placed here in front of the museum. the stand reopened and is a popular spot to get an ice cream even these days. Hood is still in business as a dairy making making a range of products including ice cream but i'm not sure what brand of ice cream the stand sells or indeed if they make their own.

the highly distorted structure of horizontal lines and gray pillars next to the white and red milk bottle is the new addition fronting the children's museum. behind that the taller brick building on Sleeper street is the original and main museum. originally it was a storage building servicing the busy wharf along the channel. while a text may describe the historic area in an orderly piece by piece manner, this reflecting image above presents a distinctly jumbled chaotic portrayal that captures a typical experience and feel of a modern urban environment.

i took this shot with my S22 phone.
