Greetings everyone, how are you ? I hope you are well and successful. Yogyakarta city is a city of culture and history. Thank you Wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay as inspiration and manager. I walked from zero kilometers point to north square and it's surroundings.
If you are in Yogyakarta city, take the time to walk from zero point to north square and it's surroundings. Build history with European and Javanese architectural touches, still look sturdy, beautiful and well maintained making it a cultural heritage.
And traditional central Javanese buildings in the form of joglo, an iconic royal building featuring a curved fence marks the boundary of the palace grounds. The barata status, located in front of the museum, serves as a walking photo spot.
The expanse of sand in front of the palace building is quite extensive, surrounded by a fence. Two beringin trees thousands of years old. Symbolize the prince's protection of his people. The walk continued around the palace to the left or east,Pangarukan street.
You see old Javanese buildings and a curved gate at the boundary of the Sultanate's wall. If there are Cars coming from two directions, one waits and vice Versa. This is called Wijilan street. This area is the center of Yogyakarta culinary specialty namely Gudeg.
From here, I walked back to the west of the Sultanate, there is a museum called Sonobudoyo, one of the cultural and historical museums. Not far from the museum, can see a building of the Great Mosque of Kauman. An old building with Javanese and middle eastern designs designed by the Sultan at that time.
And walking to the front of the palace building, because the door was locked. I Saw from the front corner.
Thank you, hopefully it Will it Will be useful for the walk from the zero kilometers point to the front of the north palace square and it's surroundings.
Happy to enjoy life.
