My entry to the challenge from 
I am Joanne and live in the beautiful Canadian maritime province of Prince Edward Island (PEI) hence the last three letters on my username. My hubby and I are retired and with two cats live in the countryside surrounded by 50 acres of forest.
Yours truly standing beside an antique 1938 at my father’s old farm in New Brunswick. The car was used in a local parade the day I visited my brother who now lives on the farm.
All I need is Dad’s old shotgun across my knee to feel like Bonnie (Bonnie and Clyde). 🙃
A big part of who I am is a mother who lost her only child due to a vehicle accident. I have written about my son, Kevin, in a book called “Child of Danaan.” In it I write of the many premonitions before his accident and the grief and healing after. I don’t think healing is the right word as you never truly heal but forever carry the loss silently in your heart.
My sun sign is the secretive Scorpio but I like to identify with the eagle who is part of the sign. 🦅
I am the oldest of my parent’s five children. A photo sent to me recently by a cousin of when I was about 9 years old with my brother and mother. I remember liking those saddle shoes I have on. My little brother doesn’t seem to be pleased having his photo taken and is acting like a rag doll.
My mother was a War Bride, born in Co. Mayo, Ireland and met my father in England during WW11. I was born there. Dad had gone overseas with the Canadian Army.

After high school I went to Ontario, living outside Toronto. and worked in the Banking industry, coming to P.E.I. permanently after my hubby retired. Before retirement we came here only in the summer. Hubby’s ancestors were from this area, immigrating here in the late 1700s.
I joined steemit two years ago and enjoyed the connection with wonderful creative people. Cryptocurrency was an added bonus and something I still need to learn more about.
The site gave me an opportunity to post my photos of the beauty I see in nature and the wonders I see each day, especially the animals and birds.
Alas, unforetold things happen and going forward I am loving the HIVE site and am grateful to the developers, programmers, witnesses making this new home possible.

I have written several books, enjoy life, cooking, photography, crocheting, meeting up with friends and looking into the mysteries of the universe.
