I saw the freewrite single option for HELMET and had to smile as I have been crocheting toques to give away for gifts and also a couple for myself and Hubby. I think of them as a sort of helmet to keep your head warm. Of course the soft yarn wouldn’t protect you from a blow like a hockey or football helmet would.
Since the cooler weather, the shopping mall was full of people walking around with these toques on their heads. Some of the toques had a nice fluffy Pom-Pom on the top.
The above one I finished off this evening and had bought a Pom-Pom at the craft store as it looked so much big and fluffier than the ones I make.
Hubby gets to see what these toques look like and is usually with me when I wear them. I asked for his honest opinion. He didn’t think the big Pom-Pom looked right. He said it was alright in the front but when I turned around it looked like a big apple on my head. We had a good laugh.
Now I must decide- Will I wear this large Pom-Pom on my helmet, make a smaller one or not bother to put anything on top?
