I have been amazed with the information technology world since i was 10 years old. It seemed to me like a world of opportunities, a world where you can do whatever you like. And if you are seeing this, then most likely, you feel the same way, but you don't know where to start. In this post i will review 5 websites, where you can start learning the art of programming for zero cost!

1. Codecademy

Short review:

Codecademy is my personal favorite. I have been using it for about two years, and i love it so far. It has an interactive interface, allowing you to code and learn at the same time. I have almost completed the Python 3 course there, and i plan to start the HTML course afterwards.

Short review:

I also like Udemy because it isn't a programming-only oriented website. You can learn artificial intelligence, data-science, how machine learning works, etc. Not all the courses are free there, but a lot of the free courses are very detailed , making it easy to understand.

3. Code Avengers

Short review:

I've been using Code Avengers for about a week now, and i must say its a pretty fun way to get started with programming. The tutorials are so simple, even a kid could understand them. Currently i am going through the JavaScript course, and i like it so far. There aren't as many courses as in the two above, so that's a bit of a bummer. Still, its a fun way to get your hands wet with coding!

Short review:

Khan Academy will remain one of my favorites, just because of its professional website interface and course structure. Khan Academy, similar to Udemy, isn't a programming only oriented website, except all of the courses there are free. While the only programming courses Khan Academy has are JavaScript, HTML & CSS and SQL, it's code editor + step-by-step video tutorial combination makes it easy and fun to learn.

5. Treehouse

Short review:

Treehouse is one of the most popular platforms for learning programming. Just like Code Avengers, it is a freemium site which allows you to use it free for 7 days, afterwards you must pay a monthly fee of $25. Besides that, it is a professionally built platform with a major amount of courses, ranging from Python to iOS.
