Today is the first day of my summer holidays. Instead of working in the mornings, I will be working in the evenings! HURRAAAAYYY!
I am joking of course. I don't take days off, unless the circumstances force me to (ie getting stranded in some god-forsaken beach or the wifi is as strong as my boner after the cialis wears off).
And honestly, I don't really want to take a day-off.
For the socially retarded who don't really understand sarcasm in text, I was being facetious.
Part of making money onlike is working 365 days per year. Yes, you have your own schedule and you could very well work regular hours, but most choose the 4 hours per day, EVERY DAMN DAY.
The name of the game is efficiency. You have no idea how efficient a human can get if he/she chooses to do so. Anyway, that's topic for another discussion...
I usually spend the summer moving around. My laptop, wifi, a pen and a piece of paper is ALL I need to make the CHAAAAA- CHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINK!!!!
I have thought about taking an entire week off. But I feel it's bad, because it creates a precedent, ie me needing "proper" vacations. Don't get me wrong, you can certainly get burned out. Writing a bunch of words per day (or god-forbid, not writing and do technical bullshit), can make you kinda crazy.
Now I know my limits though. I've learned where my threshold is, by breaking it once or twice. Smashing my phone on the wall, weird thought loops driving me crazy, forgetting if it's winter or summer. Yeah, all of those shit ain't good. You have to pay attention and not cross the limit.
And that's the point...
You need this knowledge of yourself. Most people wait till they are 30 or 40 and after a deal they've been working on for ages gets cancelled, they simply grab a gun and start shooting.
No, you need to test your limits. With work, people, travel, money. RISK in general.
Fuck an easy life man. You don't deserve that until you return from hell.
Honestly, work is a game for me. At this point, I enjoy the process. I like making people buy crap from me. Either products or ideas. It's fun and intoxicating. Digital seduction.
So, I don't see myself not working this summer. I will make sure to maintain a balance of course (lie) and perhaps chill (lie) and be serious with my life (lie).
I will be going back to my hometown. Visit the family and try to fuck the (former) highschool hottie again. After that, I dunno. I will continue to write here of course, so don't kill yourself yet...
