Ingredients

🍪 25 Oreos (cream separated from cookies)
🧀 1 cup cream cheese
🧈 1 cup butter
🥚 5 large eggs
🌿 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
🥛 1/2 cup milk
🌾 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
🧂 1/2 teaspoon salt
⚖️ 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
🍚 2 1/2 cups white sugar
🥤 1/4 cup shortening

Instructions

1- Prepare Oreos:

  • Separate the cream from the cookies of 25 Oreos. Keep the cream aside. Crush the Oreo cookies into small pieces and set them aside.

2- Cream Mixture:

  • In a mixer, combine cream cheese, butter, and shortening until smooth.
  • Gradually add sugar to the mix, and beat until the mixture turns white and pale.

3- Incorporate Eggs and Flavoring:

  • Add the eggs one at a time while continuing to mix. Ensure each egg is fully absorbed before adding the next.
  • Add vanilla extract.

4- Milk and Oreo Cream Preparation:

  • In a separate bowl, mix the reserved Oreo cream with the milk until smooth.

5- Dry Ingredients:

  • Sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.

6- Combine:

  • Gradually alternate between adding the milk mixture and the dry ingredients to the cream mixture, beginning and ending with the flour mix.

7- Fold in Oreos:

  • Gently fold the crushed Oreo pieces into the batter.

8- Bake:

  • Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 325°F (165°C) for about 1 hour and 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

9- Finishing Touch:

  • Once baked, let the cake cool for about 10 minutes. Optionally, add a glaze and additional Oreo pieces on top for decoration.
