Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Kiteboarding
This is a more extreme water sport. It combines elements of surfing, paragliding, wind-surfing, wake-boarding, skateboarding and snowboarding.
It requires good upper body and core strength which gives serious kite-surfers a unique physique.
(Usually, very developed chests, arms and sculptured obliques which lend to a narrow waist.)
This is due to the fact that they are hanging from their arms and twisting their torsos to carve a wave at great speeds.
The top speed clocked by a kite-surfer can reach up to 90 km per hour (or, about 55 mph).
A surfer’s top speed is approximately 30 mph (or, about 48 km per hour) when they catch a fast wave.
Stand up paddling and swimming doesn’t hurt as much. ;)
