So Twitter made a tweet on their Twitter support account saying that they will not be giving access to the promoting of other social media platforms on their platforms and gave specifics to what social media platforms they won’t be allowing. This means that you can’t be promoting other social media platforms on its social media platform. I guess it was just a matter of seeing their competition as a competition advertising on their platform. It’s like seeing Coca-Cola advertise Pepsi in Coca-Cola premises, or KFC advertising in McDonald’s. Or it’s just Elon Musk making changes that may or may not ruin the Twitter we all fell in love with.

Twitter is a platform that promotes freedom of speech, I guess you can talk about freedom of speech on Twitter except it involves promoting another social media platform. Well, once again, this is typical Web 2.0 their platform, their rules, their control. Twitter has been around for over 10 years same to Facebook, although not all social media platforms were launched 10 years ago but people know what they want. I started n’y social media journey with Facebook, then after went on to whatsapp, then Instagram and now Twitter. So what is the use of stopping other social media from advertising their link on twitter. Doing so, twitter has removed their freedom from its platform. Typical Web 2.0, if you are looking for a good reason to debate why we need Web 3.0, this is one.
If we are going to be using Hive a typical Web 3.0 as an example, we are going to be talking about how welcoming the Hive community is to other crypto communities, we have the ethereum, BNB and the rest communities on the Leofinance platform. Here you can see information about these other crypto communities and interest with them, you know why? Because Hive doesn’t see these crypto communities as a competition, instead Hive is seeing the blockchain as a blockchain to be utilised by all, we are not supposed to be competing against each other if we all have the same goal, which is building a true decentralised crypto Web 3.0 ecosystem. But everything about the Web 2.0 is always about the money and enriching their own pocket, so if disallowing these other Web 2.0 social media platforms will make twitter richer, why not?
