This year has been an eventful year in terms of airdrop hunting, although it all started last year, or rather I noticed it last year after the Aptos airdrop. The Aptos airdrop was an eye opener for me because I faded that opportunity. I had participated in airdrops in the past, a lot of it and the highest had gotten was very small, probably not up to $100, so imagine my shock when I saw people claiming over $1000 from the Aptos airdrop all because they minted a tested NFT. This motivated me to start doing a lot of testnet activities, I made that my daily routine.
I have done over two hundred tasks and testiest I burnt out, but luckily I saw huge returns on one of the testiest which gave about $1,700 at all time high and $400 at current price. This gave me a little hope that there might just be hope for test net activities. Test net activities can be very tasking and stressful as a matter of fact disappointments can happen, people that participated in the SUI testnet activity can testify. The Sui testnet was one of the most tasking activities I have done, coupled with the fact that SUI does a routine blockchain reset where your activities on the blockchain deletes. So this means you have to constantly do activities because you dont know just when the airdrop snapshot will be taken. But the team kept announcing that there won’t be any airdrop, but based on past experience where projects had said this in the past and ended up distributing airdrop in the end, people thought it was just one of those tricks. If you have been on SUI discord before February, you can register with the three crypto exchanges they provided to buy the SUI coin for as low as $0.03 before public sale which will be worth $0.1.
This changed how I felt about testnet and made me lose interest in testnets for a bit. I did this antimatter airdrop late 2022, which was totally free and cost $0, it was a testnet, i totally forgot about it. This testnet didn’t take much of my time in a matter of minutes I was done with it. When I saw their tweet about the airdrop, for a second I thought I won’t be eligible because its been 7 months since I did it, didn’t know if they updated their task or something. So I was shocked when I checked and I was edible for the airdrop. So this has regained my hope on testnets again. So if you are am airdrop hunter like me, and you are losing hope and getting burnt out, see this post as a reason to keep testing.
