If there is one thing crypto and the crypto community has taught us so far is how quick and easy the crypto community shows up during times of needs. While evaluating the amount of money spent by Russia in fighting Ukraine, we couldn’t help but notice how easy it was for Russia to release these ammunitions. These ammunitions cost a lot of money, it’s funny how the governments are always ready to spend a lot of money on war rather than focus that energy on taking the homeless off the streets.

The amount of money spent on war could have been redirected into something more productive. I know it’s necessary because countries need to protect and defend theirselves, but cmon, why is war a thing? Who brought up the idea of war? Leaders are having dispute between each other, instead of them to settle these disputes personally, they decided to let the innocent civilians and citizens who have no say in decision making, do the suffering.

It’s hard to go on online and not see one news about the war happening in Ukraine, you really can’t turn a blind eye because, people are suffering. But one things that makes me really happy is how the crypto community are showing up and supporting the people of Ukraine. The crypto community has been donating money and the turn up is impressive. The last time I checked, I think the amount of crypto sent to the Ukraine military was valued over $3 Million. This was sent to support the Ukraine military and the value increased from $400,000 to $3,000,000. You see how easy it was, even after lots of banking service are inoperative because of the issue happening in the country. The world is now seeing how important crypto is and how we all need it so bad.

If the world solely still depended on banks, how do you think people will access their funds when their money get frozen? But with crypto, you can see that the banks and people in power can’t touch that.

Aside the beauty of crypto’s utilities, the crypto community is really kind, nice and generous. The FTX CEO decided to give every Ukrainian FTX user $25. This might seem small, but imagine if there were 1 million Ukrainians using FTX, that’s $25 Million given to these people which is enough to feed them while they stay alive for a day. That is really generous of him.

The CEO of Binance also tweeted on how they are looking forward to helping in the best way they can. Although while most people will like to use times like this to their advantage by creating PR for theirselves, we can’t help but appreciate that as long as help is being offered to the people of Ukraine, no one cares about the PR they are creating.

This was the official tweet from the official Twitter account of Ukraine. A country publicly accepting donations in cryptocurrencies, this means that a lot of people willing to donate to this country will have to purchase cryptocurrencies to send. This means that more people will see this and know how important cryptocurrency and blockchain is to the world.

The people will realize how much more they need crypto and slowly under banking will become much more of a reality soon. People are beginning to see how crypto is being considered as the only decentralized and best option to use when governmental forces are used. More donations in crypto means more adoptions and more use.
