Do you think it’s possible to get rich off just your salary? The idea of a salary that we have been made to believe is that, you can’t create wealth off salary alone, but instead, through taking risks and investments. But then, let’s not forget how everything is relative in this world, one man’s rich is another man’s poor and one man’s poor is another man’s rich, we are talking about relativity here. I haven’t met one person who is earning a salary that isn’t wishing they were earning higher, may be I am not friends with the top salary earners like the managers, the CEO(the ones that are not the owners of the company) and salary earners that hold top positions where they earn high.

Take a look at someone like the CEO of Apple, do you think he is a salary earner that made his wealth off salary? Well, I don’t know how he made his wealth but he is earning pretty high for an Apple CEO, then the Microsoft CEO, these are top salary earners that are rich and can probably say their salary is enough to classify them wealthy. I think using these people as example is too over the bar, let’s bring it down to an employee who earns $15,000 monthly, this person can confidently be called a wealthy man by another salary earner that earns $4,000 monthly. You see, it’s all relative, but what will a person that earns $100k as salary monthly call the man that earns $15,000 monthly? Will he classify him as a wealthy man?

Once again, relativity, it alls balls down to how each of them relate to their salary. This is why I have come to understand that wealth is a state of mind, no matter how much you have or how much you make. It’s relative and a state of mind, depending on the society you find yourself, you can be the poorest man in a place or society having a network of $1,000 but in a different place or society you can be the richest. A new hiver checked my Hive wallet value and found it’s value to be above $3,000 and called me rich because theirs is like $50. I laughed about it because, here I am feeling so broke because I don’t have up to $10k - $100k net worth. I look at some Hiver’s wallet and see huge value and I feel they are rich, but I am sure that they also feel broke as well because they have a certain amount they are looking up to.

Stay happy and grateful with what you have determines how much peace of mind you can give yourself. It’s okay to want more but while searching for more and wanting more, learn to be grateful with what you have because human’s want for money is insatiable and can never be enough.
