Not all success is due to extreme hardwork and not all poverty is due to laziness, but it will only take adulthood and experience to know this. Growing up, the orientation I was given by people around me was that if I wanted to be successful in life, I need to work really hard . When they say working really hard, they meant, getting an education, making sure you read so hard you graduate with a good result, then search for a job and work really hard to get to the top. Most times, this works out as planned for some people and other times it doesn’t work out, because some unexpected factors came in the way. One of those factors could be, getting fired by your boss after working so hard for the company, or the company could go bankrupt and close down.

In Nigeria there is this company called gsk(GlaxoSmithKline plc) they are responsible for the production oof a lot of most used Nigerian products, lots of Nigerians work there, but unfortunately due to the socio economic nature of the country, rumour has it that the company will be leaving the country. This means that a lot of people will lose their jobs and source of income. No matter how much work they must have put in to the company and had worked their whole lives, they must have built their lives around the company but unfortunately, they are going to lose their job and source of income. This just placed the people who are about to lose their job be on a different side of luck. Some of them are going to get a new job way better than what they are about to lose, some will get a job like the one they about to lose, while some will probably have a bad experience getting a new job or fixing their lives up. This is just a different point of view of how luck plays a major role in people’s life.
These people didn’t see this coming, and it is going to be a tough time for them, especially when working I this company used to be regarded as being lucky because its a big reputable company. But recently, we have learnt to understand that the rod to success is not always as it used to be which is, go to school, study and find a job, then work your way to the top. The internet has made people achieve a huge amount of success through the smallest thing. Look at social media, lots of people are making money on social media, so easily, it could be dancing or showing up and making few tweets and getting paid. They make so much money they dont have to work so hard anymore, all they need is to get viral. This doesn’t mean that everyone is successful through social media, but a lot of people have gained success through social media that when you look at the background of their success, you just have to give it to luck.
This can also be applied to crypto investment, lots of people have been in the crypto space for a Long time and haven’t seen any success yet, while some people come to crypto and see success within a short time. Because, they were in the right place at the right time.
