Mark your calendars as Black Widow is coming to theaters and Disney Plus Premier Access on July 9. Yes, they moved the movie yet again. There's even a new poster for the new date.
Despite Disney's claim that Black Widow will be available to watch only in theaters, it appears that Disney changed their minds. And they are right to do so. Black Widow has been pushed back for over a year and we don't it want to be the new Wonder Woman 1984 so that people will forget about the movie by the time it reaches theaters.
Plus, we really don't have any idea when it will be safe to go back to theaters. For now, most movies don't make more than 50 million dollars in the US, and Tenet made 361 million dollars worldwide during the pandemic and that was a hit. It should have made a billion. Black Widow should have made a billion, but that's not going to happen. People are choosing not to go to the theaters for their own health and they should have the chance to watch movies safely in their homes. So you can watch Black Widow at home for an extra 30 dollars on Disney Plus. Now that is a movie that is worth the extra money in my opinion.
Yes, I will pay that 30 dollars to watch Black Widow as I don't think any theaters will be open in my area in July. Plus, even though I miss going to the movies, I don't think it is safe for now. So let's enjoy a great Marvel movie at home.
