Upon arriving in Lhokseumawe, the capital of North Aceh District, we were enjoying seafood cuisine at Rimbun. Rimbun is a restaurant by the sea, located at Ujong Blang Beach, Lhokseumawe. Ujong Blang is a famous beach in Lhokseumawe. Many visitors come here, especially on weekend.
When arrived at Rimbun, we ordered some menus. A waiter pleased us to select which fishes we like and how many. He wrote it down what we ordered.
We selected the fishes we like to be cooked and grilled. It’s about 1 kg for two fishes. There were not many kinds of fishes that time.
Let’s look at their menu book. There are many choice of dishes.
After ordering our menu. We walked into the restaurant inner part, which is built above the water. The interior is simple and traditional. Most of the construction is wooden, and the roofs are made of rumbia leaves.
Then we took a seat by the side, very close to the sea.
Our coconuts were coming first. We ordered four young coconuts.
After waiting for about 25 minutes, finally our main dishes were served on our table. Karapu Asam Manis was served first.
Then the grilled fish. Their smell was so good and tempting.
We ordered a portion of fried “sweet & sour” squids as well. They were also so tempting. And a portion of fried vegetables.
I definitely recommend Rimbun, a restaurant by the sea in Lhokseumawe. Their dishes are very delicious. Enjoying them while viewing the beauty of sea water is a great moment, an amazing quality time.
