I make mistakes and learn. We have been hearing, "Don’t make mistakes" since our childhood. Most parents tell their children, "this is wrong, don’t do it". You should know this short sentence weakens us mentally. This sentence has had such a negative effect on our minds that many times we get worried before doing any work because we feel we could make mistakes.

Learning by making mistakes and not duplicating them is what life is about. - Lindsay Fox

Because of this concept, we avoid doing something new at times because we do not want to take the risk of making mistakes. Because of this, we often fall behind in our goals. We often fail to explore many possibilities within ourselves and miss the chance for development. Instead of searching for new paths, we always want to follow the beaten paths and are constrained to a limited work range.

If anything has done the most damage to humans within the last several centuries, it is "how not to commit mistakes". The most surprising thing is that now people are thinking of ways to avoid mistakes rather than the golden formula of, "Trial and Error", trying and learning. If you search Google, you will find many questions related to "How to avoid making mistakes", or "Ways to avoid mistakes", etc.

But I can guarantee that no matter how hard a person tries, he can not avoid making mistakes, because it is human nature to make mistakes. It is only from mistakes that a person learns and gets better. That’s why I believe it is necessary to make mistakes for the proper development of human beings. One should not try to avoid mistakes but learn from them.

Make as many mistakes as you want, and make new ones every day, because the more you make, the better. The more you learn and the more you learn, the more fulfillment will come into your life. Yes, one has to be careful not to repeat the same mistakes again. I know many of you must be wondering why I am asking you to make mistakes.

Don’t worry, I will explain everything clearly, but before that, I want to clarify that I am not asking you to make mistakes intentionally. That would be simply foolish. What I am trying to say is that when you do not understand what is right or what is wrong, then you do not hold back, thinking that it might go wrong.

Let us understand with an example. Suppose you are seeing a fire in front of you. I am sure you will not touch it because you know it will burn your hand. But most of us learned it by touching it, by mistake, isn’t it?

A small child tries to walk, standing up for the first time. He repeatedly falls, and sometimes he gets hurt too. Since he has no sense of right and wrong, he makes mistakes again and again and eventually learns to walk.

You are very well aware that our ancestors used to walk on all four. Then, gradually, they learned to walk on two legs and their two hands became free. Now they can do many more things with these two hands. But do you think that walking on two legs must have been so easy for the first time? I am sure they made hundreds of mistakes walking on legs. And they surely got hurt while trying this.

Thomas Alva Edison invented the bulb, but he made thousands of failed attempts before achieving his goal. If he had stopped after 100-200 failures and thought that enough was enough, he would never have made the bulb. There are thousands of mistakes hidden behind every invention in the scientific world, but no one knows about the mistakes behind them.

Mistakes are normal in laboratories or by scientists, but they do not count those mistakes. You only know about success stories. However, every success story has more mistakes than you would ever know about. Scientists discover new things every day, but only success stories surface on the ground, not the mistakes.

Do you think that all the successful people like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Elon Musk did not make mistakes in their lives? I am sure they made thousands of mistakes before they achieved success. Those who are afraid of making mistakes continue to count right and wrong to this day, but they are reaching nowhere.

I have made thousands of mistakes myself. I didn’t know how to cook. No one taught me how to cook, but I cooked my food when my parents were away. I made some terrible mistakes, but today I am proud to say that I won’t die hungry because I know how to cook.
