Let's pretend for a moment and live from a perspective of abundance. Let's say I don't have to compete for food, water, money, land, shelter, And the 8.4 billion people on this planet will be the precursors to trillions to spread out among the stars. I adopt this perspective now to live from it, to recognize the fact That from me and the rest who are alive now, humankind will spread out into the stars. Some of us holding the belief that we are an infection. Some of us holding the belief that we are the purest form of the universe inspecting itself. What does this assumption result in? Does this assumption result in me Feeling the need to compete with others here and now? Or does it result in me recognizing that any damage that I do, I do to myself? That's not to say that I shouldn't protect myself. My survival is obviously still important to me, as is the survival of the rest of my kind, the rest of my species, and even my planet itself. I grew up here and I can't detach myself from it. I exist because of it.
