I was having a difficult time this morning staying focused on my engineering work. It is good work, I make a good income doing some pretty cool work. But, it is not my favorite activity.
My favorite activity is capturing and sharing life with my cameras and equipment. The rain stopped and it was overcast, a perfect time to catch some flower photos. I grabbed my Canon 6D with the Tamron 70-200mm F2.8 lens and charged out to my front yard to capture a little beauty before getting back to my "real job."
I don't know how I can continue to find new patterns, new displays, etc. while basically taking photos of the same flowers in my yard. I guess nature is that way, constantly changing, never boring.
I have made it a point to keep life interesting and keep growing, just like the lawn, flowers, weeds in my yard! I don't have a green thumb. In fact I kill off a lot of plants. I have the best intentions, but they are not enough. I swear I can hear plants screaming in fear when I go to the store to buy a few more "victims."
So, I take a lot of photographs since with me in charge these plants have a limited lifetime. "Take a picture, its lasts longer!"
My nickname could be "Roundup."
