Hello everyone, how is your Splinterlands matches been going? Here to share my Frontier Ranked battle with everyone. This time something interesting happened before my battle. I received a gift from @iblast, and the gift was Jolius Blast. Their name matches a lot, I didn't know why I received this gift but I'm grateful for it because I've always wanted a card with higher HP and finally I have got it. Thank you very much for this precious gift.
I was really happy to receive this card because I don't know how to use Jolius Blast in battles because it's my first time having it. So after getting the gift, I thought I will play with it whenever I will get the chance to see how good it can perform.
After losing battle I got into another match where it's 28 Mana and I have to use my Fire team. Before I didn't know I could use my new card in fire time so I was happy because fire element is my favourite element. I was excited to see if this new card could help me get victory.
Mana: 28
Elements: Fire (only)
Ruleset: Maneuvers, Weak Magic
Maneuvers: All units have Reach (can use melee attacks from the second position).
Weak Magic: All units gain Void Armor (Magic damage hits armor before reducing health).
With 28 Mana available, I decided to make a team where I could finally use my new Jolius Blast.
For the summoner, I chose Barthalamas. I have been using Barthalamas quite often because I really like the extra speed he gives to my team. I thought the speed boost could be useful again in this match.
Here was my lineup:
Summoner
Barthalamas
1st Position – Jolius Blast (lv.1)
2nd Position – Vengeful Monk (lv.1)
I placed Jolius Blast in the first position because I wanted him to lead the battle and take advantage of his strength from the start.
Behind him, I placed Vengeful Monk. The Maneuvers ruleset made this a good choice because melee units could still attack from the second position, so Vengeful Monk could keep helping while staying behind my frontline.
My enemy was SHEEPKING, and they were also using the Fire element with Barthalamas as their summoner.
Honestly, it looked like an interesting battle because both of us were using the same summoner. The speed boost was helping both teams, so I knew the attacks were going to come quickly.
The battle started, and Jolius Blast was the card I kept watching the most.
The Maneuvers ruleset was helping because Vengeful Monk because it could attack from the second position instead of waiting for the frontline to fall. So, my decision was good to choose him for the second spot.
The Weak Magic ruleset made things a little different too. Since every unit had Void Armor, magic damage had to break the armor first before reaching health.
The rounds were intense to me as both teams kept attacking each other. My enemy had a decent team, but my team was on the side of getting the better advantages.
Jolius Blast stayed in the fight while Vengeful Monk kept supporting from behind and slowly the enemy team started getting weaker.
I'm glad my team was able to end the battle with a VICTORY. Because of the new card the excitement was double.
I think when someone wins a game it always feels good. But if you never have played games then you won't understand this feeling of winning with a gifted card.
The victory, helped me to gain +20 rating, which I had lost in previous match and my ratings got 1400 again before the season ends in Silver II. I still had some energy left but I didn't have energy in real life to play a few more my matches.
This was another enjoyable Frontier Ranked battle for me. Getting a gift from iblast and then using Jolius Blast in my very next match made this battle feel a little more special.
With only Jolius Blast and Vengeful Monk in my lineup, I was able to make good use of the Maneuvers ruleset, and the battle ended with a nice victory.
Now I'm going to keep trying my luck in more ranked battles and hopefully push my rating even higher this season. I'm also looking forward to using Jolius Blast in more matches because this was a really fun first battle with him.
Thank you all for taking the time to read my battle report.
