... soil/wood chip layer today! This is just one colony among many hundreds of colonies throughout the food forest. They are very easy to divide and plant elsewhere. They are our #1 plant in food forestry!! This moment each year when they break through and leaf out is a celebration for us!!! They help us in so many ways! We chop and drop the leaves around our fruit trees as fertilizer as well as in compost teas and we also use the leaves in making topical salves and creams. I’ll show these plants in an upcoming dtube video tomorrow. If I could recommend one plant for starting a food forest it would be this one. Welcome back ol comfrey friends!!!
