Yesterday I visited a small butterfly garden at my favorite local park. I enjoy butterfly gardens because you never know what you may find...
I wasn't sure whether this first creature was a variety of butterfly or a moth. After researching it for sometime and second guessing myself more than once, I think it may be a type of Hairstreak Butterfly. But I am uncertain as I could not find a direct match.
I was lucky to spot this beautiful caterpillar. I believe it is a Pipevine Swallowtail Larva. It was very active and fun to follow for a while.
The clovers are a nice touch to the photo.
I found a few of these cute common moths floating around. I was unable to specifically identify it but hope to in the future.
Of course I found several spider webs, some of which found me!
