I like to think you are a well intentioned person. If you weren't, I wouldn't engage the way I have. Sorry if you think I undermined your efforts to write. I have worked as an ESL teacher and understand that it can be difficult to write. I have watched and mentored many with this struggle so I have a lot of empathy for this. I gave you harsh but honest criticism with something you could take away and learn from. I do not look down upon people trying to get better at English. No matter how flawed your writing may be, this is an opportunity to improve not something to be ashamed of. I also wish to use this opportunity to invite you to show and receive compassion as I was prompted to take a look when I saw you being unfairly harsh to someone else. There are a lot of great sentences in your work. There will always be things you did well on and things you can improve on. If I simply spoke about what is good and circle jerk your work instead of being critical, how does that make you better tomorrow? Story structure isn't the easiest or most intuitive thing but I think that your story reads as overt simping for Marky which I feel is undeserved, unnecessary and evoked a harsher critical LENS than what feels appropriate but this is a give and take scenario. You take from people and act like Robin Hood but this is an oversimplification of reality. You may be doing more harm than good and I hope you can consider how this made you feel and compare and contrast this to how you make other people feel. It's entirely possible that I have read more into your work than was necessary and I got lost in the minutia but I believe I have a good understanding of the situation. What I want is to create teachable moments and help people improve autonomously. I am willing to let feelings get hurt to get there but I have empathy for the struggle.
